Facebook Live is Magic

Unless you were living under a Wookie Mask in 2016, there’s a good chance you caught some sort of live video on social media. Whether it was the Uptop Crew getting blown away by the magic of our friend Tim Gabrielson (we’re pretty sure Jay is still recovering)...

...it’s obvious that Facebook Live is taking the interwebs by storm.

Here are 3 tips for when YOU go live!

  1. Stay a while. Audiences tend to stay on a live video 3 TIMES LONGER than they would a regular video. Stick around for at least 5-10 minutes. Your viewers will be coming and going throughout your live stream, so you'll want to make sure they’ve got something to see.

  2. Heads up! “Ever wonder how Joe would react to being dipped in honey then dropped into the bear den at the Como Zoo? Find out today at 4pm CST!”. That kind of teaser lets your potential viewers know you’ll be going live soon. Pique their interest with just enough info that they’ll want to tune in.
  3. Have fun! It’s been a goal of ours to make someone smile EVER DAY (the missing Y is a story for another post). If you have a good time, your audience will have a good time.
